Alto Saxophone and Flute

Bob Emmons! Well what can I say. FANTASTIC!
Bob Emmons came to the Clare Estate Assisted Living and did a wonderful performance for the staff and residents.  Not only was he a terrific performer but his unending knowledge of the period of music being played was impressive.  Bob made us feel like old time friends. Thank you Bob! We had a great time and are looking foward to more wonderful times together.
Sincerely,   Moira Bunn, Activities Department  and the Clare Estate Residents

You fit in perfectly with the family! That made the evening even more special!  I hope we can share another evening together soon.  I'd be happy to respond to gigmasters when I hear from them.

I found Bob on Wedding Wire and after one phone conversation with him, I knew he was the guy to play the piano for our cocktail hour. He was professional, friendly, enthusiastic and even contacted the venue to make sure the piano was tuned and ready to go for our big day. We were lucky enough to enjoy our cocktail hour at our wedding and Bob did a beautiful job! We have had many compliments about him and we are so happy that we had him there for our big day.

Thank you Bob!

Bob Emmons was amazing. His piano playing was phenomenal and added just the right mood to our ceremony. But, his knowledge and responsiveness to what we wanted was top notch. We spoke for a long time about what we wanted our ceremony to be and he was with us every step of the way, making suggestions and even learning new songs for us. I would definitely recommend him for all our your musical accompaniment needs. From the traditional bridal chorus to Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars, he did it all!        Wedd

We made such a great decision having Bob perform at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He was great to work with and was more than happy to learn a new song we wanted for the processional. He also had a lot of ideas and suggestions when we were selecting our music. I never thought I would walk up to the Bridal Chorus, but his arrangement was so beautiful -- I just had to! He arrived on time, looked professional, and did a great job! Live music is such a nice touch, and Bob is very talented. You will not be disappointed!

Greetings Bob,
We are planning our activities for 2014, and would like to know if you can play for us again on Saturday, December 13th? Our members raved about your music program. It really was the best! Please let me know if you can play for us again.
Hopefully, you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. Our best wishes for a happy, healthy and fun new year.
Thanks for treating us to some fine music. We so appreciated it.

Bob, and Carl ,
I want to thank you both for making Hunter's Baptism SPECTACULAR!
Carl, thank you for taking the time early on to truly listen to my needs and ultimately deliver a solution (aka Bob) who far exceeded my expectations. You are responsive, kind, professional, proactive and obviously have your finger on the pulse of quality entertainment.

Bob, you were/are AMAZING. I cannot thank you enough. You were willing to do anything necessary to make me feel comfortable during the planning process and on the day of the event. Your performance throughout the day was brilliant. Your strategy of meeting with the kids at the very beginning about "the show", assigning leader roles to our older kids, and helping them with their performance made the entire show fun and actually feel like the kids had practiced long before that day. Family and friends were coming up to me giving compliments about you... regarding your kind mannerisms and talent. I was so busy that day that you and I had littler interaction, and the fact that you didn't need any direction from me was so helpful. You asked for my direction when you felt appropriate and otherwise you did your thing. And your thing was loved by all!  I couldn't believe when all of our adult guests started joining the kids in singing and ringing the bells to Jingle Bells. That is VERY unlike our family.
Bob, thank you also for allowing Rob and I to use the mic, helping with our group photographs, and being so thorough and prompt with setup and dismantle.  You have been such a pleasure to work with.  Many many thanks. I hope that you both have a wonderful holiday season!

Bob did a great job for our family Christmas Party. He arrived early to be sure things were in place and engaged in nice conversation about musical selections and guests preferences. The family arrived a little late, so he waited before starting. At the end of the evening we had a sing along and Bob was masterful leading the group. His background in teaching is an asset to his delivery. Thanks Bob! -Neil C, Plymouth Meeting, PA
Thank you so much, you were absolutely awesome!  The songs you chose were perfect and the ceremony was really beautiful!           Tammy Johnson 10/11/16       (Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour)

Bob Emmons has been performing since age 7 on various keyboards, eventually landing him with cover bands playing anything from rock to big band jazz styles. He attended The College of New Jersey (previously Trenton State)   and earned his Bachelors Degree in music education, with an emphasis on piano performance.  He studied with Shirley Batchelor for his classical training, and since he always had an affinity for improvising and creating,  continued jazz studies with numerous  artists.  Bob's current performance schedule finds him in Atlantic City, Philadelphia,

New York City, and all of the surrounding suburbs.

Bob is available to perform piano / keyboard music for your special event; from a wedding ceremony, cocktails, reception, to all private or corporate events, he is able to provide a polished, class act of quality piano music to serve your needs.  His repertoire consists of Jazz Standards, Broadway, Classical,  Current Popular and Classic Rock selections.  Bob performs an eclectic mix of music spanning many genres and time periods.  A typical set might include Night and Day by Cole Porter (swing jazz),  Awake My Soul by Mumford and Sons (current popular),  Sun and Moon from Claude-Michel Schonberg  (Broadway musical), an improv version of Us and Them by Waters / Wright of Pink Floyd (classic rock) to Clair de Lune from Claude Debussy (classical).  Of course Bob will select the appropriate music for the occasion as needed, to set the proper musical "atmosphere".  Preludes before a Wedding Ceremony will be a different set list than that of a Cocktail / Dinner Party.  To listen to music samples of Bob performing please go to the  Music / Video Samples and Wedding Planner pages of  this website.

In his past career as music educator, Bob dedicated 30 years to instructing children in the Hamilton Township, New Jersey Public Schools,  as an instrumental music teacher. In his most recent post he served  in four elementary schools, with over 200 students in his roll book

annually.  Bob previously taught at Grice Middle school for 25 years as an instrumental music teacher, concert and jazz band director.  In 2006, Bob was chosen to direct the New Jersey Region II Junior High School Jazz Ensemble, a division of the International Association of Jazz Educators.

One of Bob's current projects is "Piano Time", an adult piano class that is offered in local community education programs.  He is a big advocate of continuing education and lifelong learning to better ourselves, broaden our horizons while having fun, and in return helping to keep our mental abilities sharp!
